Off to a 2-0 start in the Missouri Valley race the UNI Panthers get ready for a huge test this week with a visit to top ranked South Dakota State. The Jackrabbits are 5-0 and the defending national champions.

That’s UNI coach Mark Farley. South Dakota State is averaging more than 43 points and 273 yards of rushing per game.

The Panthers are coming off a 27-20 win at Indiana State and Farley says a number of players will be questionable for this week’s game with injury.

The offense continues to make progress and has averaged over 35 points in the first two league games.

The Panthers held Indiana State to 98 yards of rushing and Farley says run defense will be a key against South Dakota State.

UNI is 3-2 overall.
