On Tuesday evening the Griswold Tigers welcomed in the visiting Heartland Christian Eagles for a Class 1A volleyball matchup. Griswold has had a great year and lost the two previous matches and needed a win to get back on the right track on the team’s senior night. Coming into the night the Tigers were 18-7. The Tigers took care of business and swept the Heartland Christian Eagles in three sets by scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-17.

The Tigers dominated the net led by Gabbie Greiman and Marissa Askeland who led the offense with 14 and 13 kills respectively.  R’nya Kirchhoff had 7 kills and Addison Adams and Joey Reynolds each added 3 kills. Coach Jody Rossell was happy with how her team played well together.

Carolina Arica put up 33 assists as she ran the offense, and Coach Russell talked about Arica and the time she puts into being a great player.

Griswold will be in a tournament this weekend and Coach Rossell wants her team to take it just one game, one play at a time.

Griswold improves to 19-7 on the season and looks to continue playing well as the postseason nears.
