The fourth ranked team in Eight-Player football the CAM Cougars have been as dominant as they have impressive. The Cougars are 6-0 on the season and no team has come within 20 points of the Cougars. CAM defeated Sidney last Friday night in a 64-6 final score but led 38-0 after the first quarter. The Cougars have outscored their opponents 350-52 on the season and look to continue that dominating display as the season moves forward and the Playoffs approach.  Head Coach Barry Bower knew it would be tough last week without a couple starters on both ends of the ball and made it an emphasis to have the next man up mentality and put some of his young players in the best positions to succeed.

The Cougars have been led offensively all season by junior quarterback Chase Spieker who tallied five touchdowns vs Sidney last week and continues to improve.

Coach Bower said his team’s success comes from one word he uses over and over and described it as the most powerful word in the dictionary.

Coach Bower said his teams main focus is on each and every day trying to get better and improve, you can’t dwell on the past or look forward a few weeks but rather focus on the task in front of them

The fourth ranked CAM Cougars led by head coach Barry Bower welcome in the 3-3 Fremont-Mills Knights this coming Friday. Listen to the full interview with Coach Bower below.
