Mills County missing woman update, 9/22/23 (12-p.m.)

(Glenwood, Iowa) – The Mills County Sheriff’s Office says it has received numerous requests for updates on the case of 73-year old Judy Krueger. The Glenwood woman was reported missing Sept. 16th, when she left her residence on foot.
Authorities today (Friday), said “Unfortunately, there is minimal information to update with.” A search and rescue cadaver dog worked Friday (today) “in the Foothills Park prairie area and the wooded area along Jammett Road, with no indications of Ms. Krueger’s presence.”
The Sheriff’s Office said also, “We have received word of a community organized search party occurring tomorrow (Saturday) morning. We want to again urge caution to anyone willing to help, to work in pairs or teams for safety reasons, and to know your limitations on the terrain you are able to traverse safely.”
Officials say the don’t want to discourage anyone from searching or retracing the areas other have searched, “But there is not any specific area” they can recommend searching, as numerous areas have been searched “On foot, UTV and air methods.” Authorities will continue to follow-up on any leads and to respond to areas of interest that may come up in the future.
Judy Krueger is 5-feet three-inches tall, she weighs about 130-pound, has reddish gray hair, and suffers from Dementia. She was last known to be wearing jeans, and 2-to-3 layered t-shirts. She also has a bracelet with her husband’s contact information on it.
