Iowa State hosts Iowa in the 70th meeting of the series in Ames. The game will feature two new quarterbacks. Iowa’s Cade McNamara is a Michigan transfer and led the Hawkeyes to a 24-14 season opening win over Utah State.

That’s Cyclone coach Matt Campbell who says the Hawkeyes have an experienced offense.

Redshirt freshman Rocco Becht gets his second start at quarterback for a Cyclone offense that has had difficulty finding the end zone against the Hawkeyes.

Campbell says true freshman J.J. Kohl could also get some snaps at quarterback.

Mistakes and turnovers have played a big role in the outcome over the years.

Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says the Cyclones were impressive in a win over UNI.

Ferentz believes the offensive line will do a better job in the run game as the season progresses.

With Cade McNamara nursing an injured quad quarterback sneaks and bootlegs are not part of the package.

Iowa leads the all-time series 46-23.
