Creston man charged after leaving the scene of an accident

(Union County, Iowa) – A man from Creston faces charges following an accident that took place Sunday afternoon. The Union County Sheriff’s Office reports 35-year-old Julian Albert Rex Allsion, of Creston, was driving a 2000 Ford Taurus westbound on Cromwell Road at around 3:40-p.m. Sunday, when the vehicle left the road and broadsided a guardrail, causing it to override the car.

Allsion left the scene but was later identified by witnesses. He confessed to being the operator of the vehicle, which sustained $5,000 damage and had to be towed from the scene. Allsion was not injured during the accident.

He was charged with Failure to Maintain Control, and Driving While License Revoked.
