LONN W. NELSEN, 81, of Avoca, died Friday, June 30, 2023, at Avoca Specialty Care. A Mass of Christian Burial for LONN NELSEN will be held 10-a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Avoca. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Avoca has the arrangements.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 7, from 5-until 7-p.m.

Knights of Columbus Rosary Friday at 5:00 pm.

Burial is at the Graceland Cemetery in Avoca.

His wife – Theota Nelsen, of Avoca.

His daughters – Marcia (David) Shavlik, of Omaha, NE; Carrie (Roger) Kern, of Aurora, CO; Angela McGinnis, of Rancho Sante Fe, CA; Rachel Block of Avoca, and Sarah Hampton of Ankeny.

His son – Walter (Melissa) Nelsen, of Troy, MO.

His brother – Vaughn (Jeanette) Nelsen, of Omaha

14 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
