Harlan met its’ match in a 10-0, 5 inning loss to defending Class 3-A state champion Western Dubuque Monday in the quarterfinals of the state baseball tournament in Iowa City.

The Bobcats outhit the Cyclones 10-3.  Harlan also committed four errors.

Western Dubuque pitcher Isaac Then threw five innings, striking out seven.

The Bobcats scored 3 runs in the second and third innings to build their lead as they improve to 34-9 and advance to the semifinals.

The loss ends Harlan’s season at 22-15.
