JAMES “Whitey” DOUGLAS McCLAIN, 87, of Carson, died Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at home. A funeral service for JAMES McCLAIN will be held 11-a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Wheeler Grove Church, east of Carson. Rieken-Vieth in Oakland has the arrangements.

Visitation with the family will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral.

Interment will be in the Wheeler Grove Cemetery.

JAMES McCLAIN is survived by:

His son – Terry (Gladys) McClain, of Carson.

His daughters – Donna McClain, of Carson, and Carol “Zip” (Jim) Byriel, of Ames.

His brother – David (Linda) McClain, of Rockwell City.

4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, his in-laws, other relatives and friends.
