Ft. Dodge murder suspect arrested Saturday evening

(Fort Dodge, Iowa) – The suspect in a Fort Dodge murder investigation was arrested without incident at around 6:45-p.m., Saturday. Police had been searching for 17-year-old Davonquae Jyshon Pettigew (AKA D.J.), of Fort Dodge, in connection with the May 2nd shooting of two men. One of the men – 18-year-old Patrick Walker, of Ft. Dodge died, the other – 20-year-old Silas Hall, was critically wounded. A reward for Pettigrew’s arrest had grown to $1,500. He was taken into custody, with the assistance of Davenport Police, after a tip lead lead investigators to a residence in Davenport.
A search warrant was executed that resulted in the arrest. Pettigrew faces a charge of Murder in the 1st Degree (A Class -A Felony). He was booked into the Scott County Jail but was being held at the Scott County Juvenile Detention Center, in Davenport. Fort Dodge Police were assisted by the Iowa DCI, Webster County Attorney’s Office, and Davenport Police.
