DALE E. SUNDERMAN, 77, of Atlantic, died Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE.  A Celebration of the Life of DALE E. SUNDERMAN will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Atlantic.  Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Atlantic is assisting the family. The service at the church will be live-streamed and recorded, and available on the funeral home website.

A luncheon will be held following the funeral in the Fellowship Hall at the First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will start at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service also at the church on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

Memorials may be directed to the family and to be designed at a later time or to the First United Methodist Church, Atlantic, IA.

The family asks everyone to please wear the color blue in memory of Dale’s favorite color.

Interment will be held at a later date in the Atlantic Cemetery.

His wife – Sheryl (Chantry) Sunderman.

His sons – Anthony (Crystal) Sunderman, of Atlantic, Timothy (Julie) Sunderman, of Elkhorn, NE,

His brothers – Kenneth (Sharon) Sunderman, of Bella Vista, AR;  (Retired) Colonel DeWayne “€˜Bud”€™ Sunderman, of Colorado Springs, CO. & David Sunderman, of Bentonville, AR.

His sister – Barbara Waters, of Cumberland.

6 grandchildren: 3 great-grandchildren , his in-laws, other relatives and friends.
