The 2023 Boys Singles and Doubles Tennis State Tournaments begin today and will finish on Wednesday.

The Class 1A tournament is being played at Byrnes Park in Waterloo and Class 2A is playing at Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Center in Iowa City.

Atlantic’s Clevi Johnson is competing in singles play in Class 1A. His opening round match is against Christian Jensen of Lewis Central. Mason Reicks of Kuemper Catholic, Evan Timmerman of Southwest Valley, and Andrew Lawrence of Shenandoah are also in the singles field.

In doubles play Glenwood’s Tyler Harger and Kayden Anderson along with Ben Batten and Brody Taylor are playing. Denison-Schleswig’s Wyatt Johnson and Carson Seuntjens are competing as well.
