The weather forecast for the Twin Cities has forced Iowa and Minnesota to adjust the schedule for their three-game Big Ten baseball series. The teams will play a doubleheader beginning Friday afternoon and finish with a single game on Sunday. Hawkeye coach Rick Heller says the twin bill will change how both teams manage their pitching staff.

Iowa is 23-8 overall after a Wednesday win over Wisconsin-Milwaukee and 2-4 in the Big Ten. The Gophers are 3-3 in the league race. They are 9-22 overall and Heller says a challenging non-conference slate is the reason.

Heller says Sam Peterson is out for the series and Raider Tello is doubtful after taking a pitch off of his wrist in a series at Indiana. The Hawkeyes struggled with runners on in dropping two of three against the Hoosiers but it was the most impressive weekend yet for the starting pitching.
