Second ranked Roland-Story limited Carroll Kuemper to five third quarter points to take the lead for good in a 60-52 win in a class 2A quarterfinal round game, Tuesday. Senior center Luke Patton had 25 points and 22 rebounds as the Norseman improved to 25-1 and advanced to Thursday’s semifinal round.

Roland-Story trailed 31-27 at halftime but limited Kuemper to nine of 31 shooting in the final two quarters.

Patton made 10 of 14 shots and scored 13 of his points in the fourth quarter.

Sophomore guard Carson Kanne led the Knights with 12 points. Kuemper made only two of 12 shots in the third quarter.

Kuemper roared back from an early 10 point deficit to lead at halftime behind seven three pointers. They made only three in the second half.
