EDWARD LEINEN, 73, of Des Moines, died Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Wesley Acres Retirement Home. A Mass of Christian Burial for ED LEINEN will be held 11-a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima, in Portsmouth. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Visitation at St. Mary’s is on Friday, from 9-until 11-a.m.

Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Portsmouth.

His daughters – Melissa Schwery, of Harlan; Katie Burns of Indianola, and Sarah (Shawn) Garner, of Des Moines.

His son – Michael (Amy) Leinen.

His brothers – Michael Leinen; Allen Leinen; John Leinen; and Nick Leinen.

His sisters – Jeanne Rohner; Jane Leinen; Janet Leinen; Martha Burckhardt and Anne Stramel.

11 grandchildren; many other family members and friends.
