DON “Pappy” WARD, 91, of Atlantic, died Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Exira Care Center. Geraldine “Jeri” Ward, 84, of Atlantic, died April 4, 2020. A Celebration of Life Memorial service to honor the lives of Don “Pappy” and Geraldine “Jeri” WARD will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church in Atlantic.  Roland Funeral Service in Atlantic has the arrangements.

The service will be recorded and available on the funeral home website by noon, Feb. 6, 2023.

Burial will be held in the coming months at Southlawn Memory Garden in Atlantic, in conjunction with a Celebration of Life Memorial service for Don and Jeri’s son, Mike.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation to Zion Lutheran Church and St. Croix Hospice.

Their daughters – Linda (John) Minear, of Livonia, MO., and Diana (David) Young, of Casey (IA).

5 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; A longtime companion of their late son Mike Ward, Susan Long;

Jeri’s sister – Atha Johnson, of Cedar Rapids.

Don’s sister – Nola Brown of Anita.

His brothers – Kenneth (Judy) Ward of Mesquite, NV, and Richard (Janie) Ward, of Anita

Sister-in-law, Barb Ward of Grant, Iowa; and other relatives.
