The Kansas City Chiefs are headed back to the AFC Championship game for the fifth straight season after defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-20 on Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium.

Patrick Mahomes left for a period of the first half with an ankle injury but later returned to lead the Chiefs to victory. Mahomes finished with 195 yards passing and two touchdowns, the second one capping a 75-yard drive late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. When Mahomes went our veteran backup Chad Henne came in and led a 98-yard touchdown drive, finished with a toss to Travis Kelce.

Kelce had a career-high 14 catches for 98 yards and two scores. He now has the second most receptions in NFL postseason history, behind only Jerry Rice. His 14 grabs was a new record for receptions in a playoff game by a tight end.

The Chiefs improved their record to 14-3 on the season. They will now host the Bengals in the AFC Championship.  We’ll have the game on KJAN.
