The Atlantic boys basketball team led all but a brief moment of the first quarter and pulled away in the second half of a 68-49 win over St. Albert on Friday night. The Trojans led by eight at halftime and then outscored the Falcons 21-12 in the third quarter to blow the game open. Atlantic head coach Derek Hall said the defensive effort helped spark that burst in the second half.

The Trojans held the lead around 20 for most of the rest of the game. Caden Andersen had a great game and scored 9 of his 12 points in that big third quarter.

Colton Rasmussen led the Trojans with 20 points, while Nolan Waters and Jackson McLaren each added 14 points. Waters knocked down three triples in the second half and knocked down a total of four in the game.

The Trojans improved to 5-11 on the season and will be back at it on Saturday for a 6:00 p.m. game against Perry.

St. Albert was led by 17 points from Noah Narmi and Colin Lillie added 15. The Falcons fall to 3-14 on the season and will travel to Underwood on Monday for their next contest.
