4 fatalities (1 adult, 3 children under 5) in northern Iowa van rollover accident

(Wellsburg, Iowa) – The Iowa State Patrol reports four people died in northern Iowa, when a van went out of control and crashed this (Friday) morning, near Wellsburg. The accident happened at around 6:49-a.m. Authorities say a 15 passenger van was heading Westbound on US Hwy 20 near Wellsburg, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and entered into the median. The vehicle rolled over and came to rest in the Eastbound lanes of Hwy 20.
The 15 passenger van was occupied by 13 passengers and 1 driver. At this time, officials confirmed 4 fatalities (1 adult and 3 children under the age of 5), and multiple other injuries.
NONE of the occupants were using seatbelts or child restraint devices.
