BERNARD GUNDEL, 91, of Fontanelle, died Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the Greenfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.  Funeral services for BERNARD GUNDEL will be held At Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle, on Dec. 28th, beginning at 11-a.m.  Lamb Funeral Home in Fontanelle has the arrangements.

A luncheon immediately following the service.

Visitation on December 27, 2022, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 4-until 7-p.m.

Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery in Merrill, Iowa, with full military rites at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church or to St. Jude’s.

His wife – Myrna Erb-Gundel, of Fontanelle.

His daughters – Connie Mueller, of LeMars; Teresa (Steve) Schillmoeller, of Remsen, and Rhonda Erb, of Greenfield.

His sons – Brian Erb, of Manilla, and Kevin Erb, of Manning.

16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
