UNI rolls past Utah Tech

The UNI Panthers rolled past the Utah Tech Trailblazers 41-14 on Saturday in Cedar Falls. The Panthers jumped on top 10-0 in the first quarter and then really blew the game open with a 24-7 advantage in the second quarter.

Panther quarterback Theo Day completed 13 passes for 308 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead a big day for the Panther offense. Cornerback Benny Sapp III gave the Panthers a spark as well with an interception early in the second quarter to set up a short touchdown run by Dom Williams.

The Panthers finished the game with a whopping 548 yards of offense and held Utah Tech to just 249 yards on the day. UNI improved to 3-4 on the season.

Next up for UNI is the final game in their current four-game homestand against Missouri State for Family Weekend. The game is set for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff on Saturday at the UNI-Dome.
