(Council Bluffs, Iowa) – Officials with the Council Bluffs Police Department report 16-year-old male faced a charge of Making Threats, following an incident that occurred Sunday within the Council Bluffs city limits. Authorities said that Council Bluffs police officers were made aware of a video that was being shared by some students of Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln High School. The video showed the teen making a reference to bringing a gun to school.

Officers were able to identify and locate the student. Further investigation revealed that the student was in possession of an Airsoft gun and does not have access to any actual firearms, and it was quickly determined that there was there was not a credible threat.

Regardless, the student was charged with Making Threats and was referred to Juvenile Court.
