The Atlantic Trojans are amped up for the Class 3A state cross country qualifying meet tonight in Glenwood. The Trojans have had some strong performances at the end of the season despite battling through some injuries. Atlantic head coach Dan Vargason said they have built themselves to peak at the right time.

The Trojans get to run on the course they started the season with in Glenwood. Coach Vargason said it’s nice to be at a familiar course and it’s a fast course that the kids enjoy.

Atlantic will be joined at that 3A site by ADM, Clarke, Creston, Denison-Schleswig, Glenwood, Harlan, Kuemper Catholic, Lewis Central, Perry, Saydel, and Sergeant Bluff-Luton.

Area Class 4A schools will be running their SQM in Council Bluffs tonight hosted by CB Abraham Lincoln. Schools that will join AL there are CB Thomas Jefferson, Dallas Center-Grimes, Des Moines Lincoln, Dowling Catholic, Sioux City East, Sioux City North, Sioux City West, WDM Valley, and Waukee.

The first three teams plus the first 15 individual place winners will qualify for the state meet from these sites tonight.
