The Atlantic Trojans (2-4) have a long road trip this week to face the Knoxville Panthers (1-5) in a Class 3A District 6 football contest. The Trojans are looking to bounce back after back-to-back losses to top five teams ADM and Harlan. The Trojans are hoping to lean on their senior leaders down the stretch.

That’s Atlantic Head Coach Joe Brummer. When the Trojans have been at their best they have been able to hit some big plays on the outside with Colton Rasmussen, Carter Pellett, Jayden Proehl, and Jackson McLaren. Knoxville Head Coach Matt Dunkin thinks those guys pose a challenge for his squad.

Knoxville has had their most success in the passing game. Junior quarterback Noah Keefer has hit on 56 of 113 attempts for 723 yards and 6 touchdowns. Coach Brummer said the Panthers do a good job of setting up some big plays.

Coach Dunkin says Keefer has done a great job of orchestrating what they want to do on offense.

The Trojans and the Panthers will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. this week. Chris Parks and Seth Christensen will have the call from Ken Locke Stadium on AM 1220, FM 101.1, KJAN.com, and KJANTV. Our night will start with our pick ’em show Who’s Gonna Win? at 6:00 p.m. followed by pregame at 6:30 p.m. You can also catch a full interview with Coach Brummer on Trojan Preview at 4:45 p.m.
