The AHSTW Vikings (7-0) are looking to close out the regular season unbeaten with a trip to face the St. Albert Falcons (2-5) this week. The Vikings have continued to improve since last season and have been pretty dominant this year, winning every game by 20 points or more. Vikings head coach GG Harris said his team has had a great mindset.

The Vikings have been able to do some offensive damage both through the air and on the ground. Kyle Sternberg has thrown for 1,157 yards and 16 touchdowns. Luke Sternberg has rushed for 1,144 yards and 17 touchdowns. St. Albert head coach Jake Driver has been impressed by the Vikings balance.

The Falcons on the other hand have struggled to find consistent offense and have been trying to find their way the last couple of weeks without star tailback Brendan Monahan. The Falcons want to run the ball first and Coach Harris said they will need to start there defensively.

Coach Driver said his guys have continued to learn and keep a great attitude despite the ups and downs of the season so far.

The Vikings and Falcons kick off on the hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night. Chris Parks and Mike Smith will have the call from Council Bluffs. The night starts with our pick ’em show Who’s Gonna Win? at 6:00 p.m. followed by pregame at 6:30 p.m. Tune in on AM 1220, FM 101.1, KJAN.com, and KJANTV.
