DARLEEN ROSE (Grote) HOCKENBERRY, 94, of Anita, died Friday, September 2, 2022, at the Heritage House in Atlantic. A Funeral service for DARLEEN HOCKENBERRY will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7th, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church south of Wiota.  Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic has the arrangements.

Visitation with the family will take place from 5 – 7 p.m., on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Hockenberry Family in honor of Darleen. Memorials will be directed at a later date to many of her favorite local charities and events and may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home (P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022).

Committal will be at First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery following the funeral service.

DARLEEN HOCKENBERRY is survived by:

Her sons – Duane (Marcia) Hockenberry, Darrell (Lynn) Hockenberry, David (Laurie) Hockenberry, all of Anita; and Dennis (Janelle) Hockenberry, of Wiota.

6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
