Both teams started slow offensively with the first 9 possessions of the game ending in a punt or turnover. Atlantic turned the fourth turnover of the game into points. With 7:41 left in the first half Jarrett Armstrong knocked the ball right out of Shenandoah quarterback Cole Scamman’s hand, scooped it up and hauled it in from 11 yards out. Atlantic then forced a turnover on downs for the Mustangs but gave the ball back on an interception from Jade Spangler. The Trojans grabbed it right back though on the next play with a Jackson McLaren pick. Two plays later Dante Hedrington plunged in from three yards out to put Atlantic up 13-0 at half.

The Trojans scored on the fourth possession of the second half when Caden Andersen hit Colton Rasmussen for a 12 yard pass on a slant route. The Trojans forced another turnover on downs the next Mustang drive and Isaac Hansen took over on the ground. Hansen capped off that 7 play drive with a 6 yard touchdown on a pitch around left end. That would finish the scoring.

Atlantic improves to 1-2 on the season and will head back home next week to take on Ballard.
