BESSIE HUFFMAN, 95, of Anita, died Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Caring Acres Nursing Home in Anita. A Funeral service for BESSIE HUFFMAN will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Anita. Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Anita has the arrangements.

Visitation with family present will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Anita, IA.

Committal is in the Evergreen Cemetery in Anita, with a reception to follow, at the Anita Community Center.

Memorials may be directed to the family at this time. They will be designated to many of Bessie’s favorite local charities and may be mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022.

Her daughters – Carolyn Dix, of Atlantic;  Barbara (Phil Marnin) Bell, of Anita; Jean (George Dockendorf) Young, of Anita, and Patricia (Bruce) Nelson, of Atlantic.

Her son – Roger (Kendra Sorum) Huffman, of Anita

16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
