The AHSTW Vikings played about as close to a complete game as possible on Saturday afternoon in Council Bluffs. The Vikings used tight defense and efficient offense to roll past St. Albert 83-42.

The VIkings bursted out to a 23-7 lead by the end of the first and led 44-23 by halftime. The Vikings came in with three players averaging in double figures and they all hit that mark by the break. Raydden Grobe, Kyle Sternberg, and Brayden Lund each had 12 by half. The VIkings didn’t let off the gas in the second half and Grobe poured in 11 more in the third quarter to finish with a game high 23. Lund added 21. AHSTW Head Coach GG Harris said it was great as a coach to watch how well his guys rotated and executed on defense.

The Vikings improved to 6-0 heading into the holiday break. Coach Harris said he’s got a motivated bunch.

St. Albert falls back to 3-3 on the season with the loss and they will take on Kuemper Catholic next Tuesday. AHSTW will face Treynor coming out of the break on January 3rd.
