According to multiple reports Major League Baseball will return to the Field of Dreams site in Dyersville for another game on August 11, 2022 and the game will feature the Chicago Cubs against the Cincinnati Reds.

MLB just contested their first ever game in Iowa at the Field of Dreams site last Thursday. The Chicago White Sox beat the New York Yankees in a walk-off homerun thriller. The game featured a tribute to the iconic film beforehand with actor Kevin Costner walking our of the cornfield onto the playing field with the players from both teams following. The nationally televised contest was the most watched regular season MLB game in over 16 years with over 5,903,000 viewers.

The Reds were the opposing team to the White Sox in the infamous 1919 world series that played a role in the movie’s storyline.
