LYLE E. CHESNUT, 91, of Anita, died Sunday, August 29th, at the Heritage House, in Atlantic. Memorial services for LYLE CHESNUT will be held 10:30-a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2nd, at the Hockenberry Funeral Home, in Anita.

Open visitation with the family present will be held from 5-until 7-p.m. Wed., Sept. 1st, at the funeral home.; Online condolences may be left at www.hockenberryfamilycare.com.

Lunch will be held at the Anita Community Center on Thursday, following the services.

A private burial will be held at the Sunnyhill Cemetery in Adair.

Memorials may be directed to the Anita Volunteer Fire Department, the Anita Library, or the Anita American Legion Scholarship Fund.

His son – Alan (Rita) Chesnut, of Atlantic.

His daughter – Vickie (Mike) Michels, of Dixon, IL.

His brothers – Dale (Marline) Chesnut, of Elkader, and Ray Chesnut, of Anita.

3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and his sisters-in-law [Janice (Delbert) Sheeder, of Adair; Jean Hall, of Fontanelle; Jeanette (Bill) Crees, of Casey, and Joyce Rocholz, of Atlantic].
