DOROTHY PURDY, 91, of Fontanelle, died July 5, 2020, at the Mercy Hospice House in Johnston. A Celebration of Life service for DOROTHY PURDY will be held 2-p.m. Saturday, July 31st, at the United Methodist Church (at 510 First Street) in Fontanelle, with a time of fellowship & refreshments (including some of Dorothy’s recipes).  A short program will follow at approximately 3:30 p.m.  (The church is handicap-accessible and air conditioned)  Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle is in charge of the arrangements.

Her sons – Roland (Earlene) Purdy, of Greenfield; Randy (Marcia) Purdy, of Boone; Rich (Rhonda) Purdy, of Treynor; and Jeff (Annette) Purdy, of Polk City.

Her daughter – Julie (Gene) Guenther, of Britt.

Her sister – Connie Townsend of Hunt, Texas.

16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
