Girls state golf begins today at four different locations.

Class 1-A is being played at Ames Golf & Country Club.  Boyer Valley will be in the team competition.  Among the local individuals looking for medals are Jenna Reynolds of Griswold, Reese Snyder of CAM, Avery Dowling of Sidney and Kylie Powers of IKM-Manning.

Class 2-A is at the American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown.  Treynor is in the team competition and Abby Cobb of Panorama is in the medal hunt.

Class 3-A  is at River Valley Golf Course in Adel with Creston in team play and Grace Pettitt of Carroll among the individuals.

The Class 4-A meet is at Otter Creek in Ankeny.  No local teams or individuals have qualified.

Today’s first round begins at all locations with a 9:00 am shot gun start.  Wednesday’s final round will begin with the first tee times at 8:30 am.
