Atlantic ready to enjoy Substate Final against Dallas Center-Grimes

Trojan LogoThe Atlantic boys basketball team (14-6) gets a chance to punch a ticket to the 3A Boys State Tournament this evening with a Substate 8 Final meeting with Dallas Center-Grimes (19-3).

Atlantic earned their way to the Substate Final round with a thrilling road win at Glenwood last Thursday 63-59. The Trojans have been playing their best basketball at the end of the season and have won 11 of their last 12 games. Atlantic Head Coach Jeff Ebling said the Trojans will get a great test from a talented Mustangs team.

Coach Ebling said they have kept the mindset of focusing one game at a time and now they have a chance to win one game to get to State. He said they want everyone involved to enjoy the moment.

Dallas Center-Grimes comes in averaging 65 points per game and have three players averaging in double figures. Junior Cole Glasgow has poured in 17.1 points per game to lead the Mustangs. Atlantic has averaged 58 points per contest and have been led by 17.1 per game from Skyler Handlos.
