JANET SCHWENKE, 87, of Massena, died Friday, January 1, 2021, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral services for JANET SCHWENKE will be held 11-a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021, at the Massena Baptist Church. Steen Funeral Home of Massena is in charge of the arrangements.

An open visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday.; Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

Burial is in the Massena Center Cemetery.  A luncheon will be held at the church following the committal services at the cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Janet Schwenke memorial fund to be established by the family.

Her daughters – Leanne Schwenke, of LaVista, NE; Susan Jones, of Bellevue, NE; Janalee (Randy) Caviness, of Greenfield, and Trisha Schwenke, of Massena.

Her sons – Jeff (Karen) Schwenke, of Anita; and Bruce (Naomi) Schwenke, of Bondurant.

Her brothers – Aaron Jones, of Council Bluffs, and Bill Jones, of Omaha.

7 grandchildren;  other relatives and friends.
