Dsm PD requests help from the public in identifying hit & run victim

The Des Moines Police Department is requesting help from the public in identifying a male pedestrian who was struck and killed at around 9-p.m. Nov. 26th (Thanksgiving night).  The incident happened at the intersection of SE 14th and Watrous. The driver – who fled the scene – has since been arrested, however the victim remains unidentified. The victim had no identification with him. Forensic efforts to identify him have not produced results, and all traditional investigative means have also been unsuccessful.

The man is described as having been in his 60’s, approximately 5’8″ tall, and weighing approximately 150 lbs. He has no distinguishing scars, marks, or tattoos. The picture here is an artists impression of the victim. (Drawing by Det. Tim Brown, Pleasant Hill Police Dept.)
