State Patrol stops person speeding 124 mph in Cass County

In a social media post late Friday evening, the Iowa State Patrol asked “Would you like to share the road with a motorist going this fast? Would you want your loved ones on the road with a motorist traveling this speed? They added that in two separate traffic stops Friday, motorists were driving in excess of 100 miles per hour.

On I-80 in Cass County, a motorist was pulled-over after being clocked at 124-mph in a 70-mph zone, and in Scott County, another motorist was caught doing 121 mph in a 70 zone. The Patrol warns: “Slow down. Put the phone down. Buckle up.”
