JIM “Bones” CORKREAN, 68, of Orient, died Monday, July 6, 2020, at the MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. A Mass of Christian Burial for close friends & family of JIM “BONES” CORKREAN will be held 10:30-a.m. Friday, July 10th, at  St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winterset. Steen Funeral Home of Greenfield is in charge of the arrangements. **Due to COVID-19, social distancing will be practiced and the family encourages masks to be worn.**

A Celebration of Life for “Bones” will be held from 1-until 4-p.m. Saturday, July 11th, at Kramer’s on Main Street in Orient.  Time will be set aside for guests to share their favorite memories and stories of Bones.  Please feel free to wear your Chicago Cubs apparel to honor Bones’ memory.

Memorials may be directed to the Jim Corkrean memorial fund to be established by the family.; Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

JIM “BONES” CORKREAN is survived by:

His wife – Chris Corkrean, of Orient.

His sons – Justin (Cara) Corkrean, and Brandon (Romy) Corkrean, all of Des Moines.

His daughters – Jessie Corkrean (& Nik Schirber), and Casey Corkrean, all of Des Moines.

His brothers – Mike Corkrean, Paul (Tammy) Corkrean, and Joe Corkrean, all of Winterset, and Tim (Sherry) Corkrean, of Ames.

His sisters- Peggy (Dan) Harry, of Chinook, MT; Julie (Keith) Wheeler, of Winterset; Mary (Jim) Allen, of Van Meter, Jenny Corkrean and Cindy Weisz, of Ankeny.

8 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
