LEROY NELSON, 89, of Fontanelle, died Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society in Fontanelle.  Graveside services with full military rites for LEROY NELSON will be held 11-a.m. Friday, Nov. 15th, in the Fontanelle Cemetery. Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle has the arrangements.

An open visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 14th, from 2-until 8-p.m., with the family present from 6-until 8-p.m.; Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

Burial is in the Fontanelle Cemetery with full military rites by the Fontanelle American Legion Carlson Post #247. A luncheon will follow at the Fontanelle United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be directed to the Leroy Nelson Memorial Fund, to be established by the family.

His daughters – Susan (Brad) Newton, of Fontanelle; Sherry Simpson, of Council Bluffs, and Stacey (Greg) Buxton, of Creston.

His son – Dale (Kelly) Nelson, of Greenfield.

His brother – Norman (Claire) Nelson, of Apple Valley, CA.

10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, other relatives, his in-laws, and friends.
