Grand View football beats Graceland 70-0

(GVVikings.com/Lamoni, Iowa)— The Grand View University Vikings beat the Graceland Yellowjackets 70-0, Saturday, and improved to 9-0 on the season, while Graceland falls to 0-9.

The Grand View offense outgained the Graceland offense 439-yards to 123-yards. The Vikings ran up and down the field all afternoon rushing for 276-yards. The Grand View defense held the Yellowjackets to an impressive -5-yards rushing. Offensively, Grand View was led by Jensen Gates, who rushed for 113-yards and 3 touchdowns. Johnny Sullivan was a perfect 5/5 in the air for 92-yards and 3 touchdowns.

Anthony Turner caught four balls for 113-yards and two touchdowns. Gates also caught one pass for a touchdown. A slew of Vikings racked up tackles and tackles for loss, Saturday. Ben Slavens led the way with 5 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and one interception. Dallis Flowers had two interceptions on the afternoon.

Up next, the Grand View Vikings will host Peru State 1-p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9th. Peru State is 1-8 on the season, after upsetting William Penn this week.
