Fugitive Jamie Kennedy

Officers located him parked in a driveway in the 2600 block of Avenue F. His vehicle was parked in front of another vehicle, in the driveway.  When Officers confronted Kennedy, he intentionally drove around a parked pickup and rammed a Council Bluffs officer’s car numerous times.  The officer was out of his vehicle and was taking cover behind his car at the time.

A “HELP AN OFFICER”was called and numerous other officers proceeded to the scene.  Kennedy was able to drive over a fence and push the officer’s car out of the way. Council Bluffs and Federal officers pursued the vehicle.  The vehicle went the wrong way over the I-480 bridge into Omaha.  CBPD Officers exiting at 10th and Dodge, did not see the vehicle come off the Douglas St. ramp.

Nebraska law enforcement officers located the vehicle Kennedy had been driving, abandoned near Northridge and Ida Streets in Omaha.  No injuries officers were injured during the incident. There was significant damage done to a fence at the property and to the officer’s car.

Additional warrants are being applied for Jamie Kennedy’s arrest stemming from the incident this morning. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Jamie Kennedy are encouraged to contact 9-1-1 or Crime Stoppers at (712) 328- STOP (7867)
