Sidney runs past Griswold 76-46

The Sidney Cowboys used an impressive ground game and efficient passing game to top the Griswold Tigers 76-46 on Friday night. Griswold turned the ball over on their first two possessions of the night and the Cowboys built an early 16-0 lead. The Tigers finished the night with 4 turnovers and the Cowboys efficient offense took advantage of those mistakes.

Tyler Hensley led the charge for the Cowboys homecoming win with 4 rushing touchdowns and 1 touchdown catch. Hensley scored the first three touchdowns of the game on the ground.

Griswold climbed within one score on a couple of occasions in the first half but Sidney was able to build a 46-22 lead by halftime and built on that lead in the second half.

Derek Mueller led the Tigers with 2 touchdown runs and had a late kickoff return touchdown as well. The Tigers fall to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in District 7 play. The Tigers travel to face Fremont-Mills next week.

Sidney moves to 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in 8-Man District 7. Sidney hosts Bedford next week.
