The City of Audubon is moving forward on their water and sewer improvement plans after some decisions were made at the City Council’s regular monthly meeting on Monday.

City Clerk Joe Foran said part of the water improvement plan is to replace some meters so billing can sync up for everybody each month and a contract was awarded for that work.

Foran said they will be signing the contract with Building Crafts for the meter work within the next month and work will likely start within the next couple of months.

The sewer improvement plan is moving forward as they entered into an agreement with JEO for phase 2 of the Wastewater Collection System Improvements.

Some lining will be done to improve the sewer system with the grant money.

Foran also said the council passed a third reading of a city wide urban revitalization plan.

The Council also discussed some bus traffic flow changes at the elementary school and advertising for a Public Works Assistant due to a retirement in the department.
