GENEVIEVE H. SCHEURING, 95, of Harlan (& formerly of Defiance), died Thursday, May 30th, at the Elm Crest Retirement Community, in Harlan. A Mass of Christian Burial for GENEVIEVE SCHEURING will be held 10:30-a.m. Monday, June 3rd, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Defiance. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home, in Harlan has the arrangements.

Visitation at the funeral home is on Sunday, June 2nd, from 3-until 9-p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6-until 8-p.m. A Wake service will be held 7-p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Burial is in the Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.

Her sons – Jim (Cindy) Scheuring, of Defiance; Chuck (Darla) Scheuring, of Council Bluffs, and Dale (Lisa) Scheuring, of Defiance.

Her daughters – Alice (Jim) Huber, of Omaha; Kathy (Mike) King, of New Ulm, MN, and Jane Scheuring, of Fremont, NE.

Her sister – Agnes Retz, of Olathe, KS.

10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
