DEAN ARCHER, 91, of Orient, died Saturday, August 18th, at the Good Samaritan Society in Fontanelle. Funeral services for DEAN ARCHER will be held 10:30-a.m. Thursday, August 23rd, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle. Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle has the arrangements.

Visitation will take place Wednesday at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

Burial is in the Fontanelle Cemetery with full military graveside rites by the Fontanelle American Legion Carlson Post No. 247.  A luncheon will be held at the church following the committal services at the cemetery.

His wife – Verlene Archer, of Orient.

His daughters – Angela Wortman (special friend Dave Johnson) of Orient, and Gloria Ernst and husband Neil, of Greenfield.

His sons – Stanley (Vicki) Archer, of Johnston and Randall (Dawn) Archer, of Cumming.

seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two step-grandsons; two step great- grandsons; his sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends.
