Portsmouth man awarded IA Assoc. for Energy Efficiency Scholarship

Officials with the Iowa Association for Energy Efficiency have announced two students, including one from western Iowa, were awarded $1,000 scholarships each, to help ensure the continued success and development of future energy efficiency professionals in Iowa, and in keeping with IAEE’s mission “To promote the Art and Science of the Efficient Use of Energy”, a student scholarship has been created to assist students in pursuing an education related to energy efficiency. Locally, Logan Peters, of Portsmouth, a student at Iowa State University, was awarded an IAEE scholarship.

Joel Logan, Chair of the Iowa Association for Energy Efficiency said “We have created a scholarship program to acknowledge that we need to be helping the next generation move into the professional role of energy efficiency in the state.” Both scholarship recipients will be recognized at the 31st annual Iowa Energy Summit being held November 7-8, at The Meadows Events and Conference Center in Altoona.
