The Page County Sheriff’s Office says a juvenile male was arrested Saturday, following a report of a stolen UTV. Just before 3-p.m., the Page County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from Tadd Madden, of Shambaugh, who said that he had been gone earlier that day and when he came home, his Kawasaki Mule UTV was gone. Madden said that he had not given anyone permission to use his UTV. Madden said also, that he had also found a bicycle in his yard, that had not been there when he left earlier. Madden called back later to say he had just received a phone call from a friend, who told him he had seen Madden’s UTV northbound on Highway 71, from Shambaugh.

Deputies responding to Shambaugh saw a male juvenile operating a Kawasaki UTV on Highway 71, about two-miles north of Shambaugh.  They initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of 250^th Street, and upon confirmation the machine belonged to Madden, arrested the juvenile for possession of stolen property. The male was transported to the Juvenile Detention center in Council Bluffs where he is currently being held pending further court proceedings.
