The Northern Iowa Panthers return to Missouri Valley Conference action tonight (Wednesday night), by hosting Illinois State. The Panthers are 2-6 in the Valley after a loss at Southern Illinois while the Redbirds enter 4-4. UNI coach Ben Jacobson says the Panthers must be ready for a variety of defenses.

Illinois State 6-6 junior Milik Yarbrough averages nearly 17 points and more than four assists per game. Both teams are 10-10 overall. Tip-time is 7-p.m. from the McLeod Center.
