(AP) — Jordan Barnes hit five 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 27 points and Brandon Murphy tipped in Barnes’ missed 3 at the buzzer to give Indiana State beat Northern Iowa 69-67. Murphy finished with nine points on 4-of-5 shooting and Brenton Scott scored 13 points for Indiana State.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Iowa is expected to lose cornerback Josh Jackson to the NFL after his standout junior season. The Hawkeyes also weren’t surprised to see junior center James Daniels go, and he might be just as hard to replace. Iowa enters the offseason with plenty of key spots to fill for next season.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz is preparing to battle an unlikely off-season opponent: his next-door neighbors. Trial is scheduled next month in a lawsuit that pits Ferentz and his wife against the three other families who live along their private road outside Iowa City. A judge is expected to decide whether the Ferentzes have breached a 2001 legal agreement and trespassed by planting trees that encroach onto Saddle Club Road.
