Bills were signed into law in a handful of states last year and will be introduced in several more in 2018.

GARNAVILLO, Iowa (AP) — A group in northeastern Iowa is fundraising to restore a historic clubhouse from 1860 that’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa’s Department of Natural Resources is cancelling hikes at 27 state parks that had been scheduled for New Year’s Day because of frigid temperatures. State Parks Bureau Chief Todd Coffelt said in a statement that the agency is disappointed to cancel the events. But he said the goal is to ensure hikers’ safety. The National Weather Service is warning of hazardous weather conditions as a deep freeze sets in.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds is temporarily easing some regulations on propane delivery as cold weather drives demand up.
